Las Lajas is located on the Panamericana (highway) between Panama City (350 km) and Paso Canoas border station (150 km Costa Rica) on the Pacific coast.
The bathing beach is approx. 12 km away and can be reached quickly and safely by car or bicycle via a well-developed asphalt road. The beach has a length of about 7 km and is not overcrowded. There are restaurants and hotels that invite you to linger, eat and drink.
Las Lajas belongs to the district of San Felix and has about 6,000 inhabitants.

San Felix including Las lajas have a well developed infrastructure. The roads are mostly paved. There are numerous restaurants, shops for daily needs, hairdressers, banks, farmacias, hospital, medical care, bus connections to all districts of Panama and to Costa Rica.

The price level for basic needs (food, electricity, water, fuel) is very moderate.
The district has a very low crime rate, ensured by multiple police stations and regular patrols.

Climate:

The climate is very pleasant, in summer (December-April) temperatures can reach up to 35 degrees Celsius. It usually does not rain during this period.
During the rainy season (May - November) temperatures can reach up to 28 degrees Celsius during the day and around 24 degrees Celsius at night.
It rains mostly in the late afternoon or at night for a few hours.
The morning to late afternoon is usually rain-free.
There are no major storms on the Pacific coast.
